Ruth says; “My first experience giving a children’s sermon was at the age of eight. As I sat in church listening to the scripture readings and the pastor’s sermon, I began to create short object lessons in my mind that would more clearly communicate the Biblical truths to young people. When I approached the pastor with my ideas, he enthusiastically encouraged me to begin giving children’s sermons in church.”
Most of these sermons in the Kidsermons series were written when Ruth was the Director of Children’s Ministries at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Sacramento, California.
Ruth is currently employed as the elementary school librarian at the Christian Academy in Japan.
